Better? No, I didn't think you'd like this view either.
How about this one? Isn't it Gorgeous!?Here's the view with the front of the dress. Spectacular aren't they? Finally a picture of Patricia taken at the show with the designer of the piece.
Patricia speaks Spanish and her note to me in Spanish doesn't include much more information than that the pictures were taken at the fashion show and that she had tatted the veil. For those of you who do speak Spanish, this is the entire email.

I have written to her asking for more information, but with the language barrier I'm not sure how much more information I'll get.
Edited to add:
I got the bsic information on what Patricia was saying by using the internet translator. HJ added the full translation in the comments.
That veil is absolutely gorgeous! That's the thing about tatting; it's beautiful in ANY language! Thanks for sharing it on your blog! :)
ReplyDeleteThis is also known as a mantilla (man-tee-ya.) 'Course my spelling is probably all wrong. I wore my Aunt's for my wedding, not as ornate as this one, nor was it hand made. But when I first learned tatting this past year, I had a thought of doing something like that for my daughters. But I didn't think of doing the whole thing, just edging some sheer material with the tattting. This pic is gorgeous! Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteWOW, tat's something else.
ReplyDeleteI've fallen in love with a wedding veil...absolutely awesome...thanks for sharing Sharon

Hi, Sharon
ReplyDeleteHere is a translation both ‘literal’ and (meaningful) of Patricia Estrugo’s email.
WEDDING VEIL ‘KNITTED’ (MADE) BY ME
I SEND YOU SOME PHOTOS OF VERONICA ZAPATA’S ‘PARADE’ (FASHION SHOW) FOR WHOM I ‘KNIT’ (MADE) A WEDDING VEIL IN TATTING [aka Frivolite in Spanish]. WHAT DO YOU THINK OF IT? AT THE END I AM WITH THE DESIGNER. ‘KNOW’ (IMAGINE) THE EMOTION THAT I FELT UPON SEEING SOMETHING MADE BY ME ‘PARADE’ (SHOWN) IN FRONT OF PEOPLE AND THE CAMERAS OF THE PRESS. I HOPE YOU LIKE IT.
...
absolutely gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteI now have a new blog, only for tatting :

Wow, that it is stunningly beautiful.
ReplyDeleteIt's beautiful. I love it.
ReplyDeleteI can imagine as Patricia Estrugo felt when saw the veil tatted by her at Veronica Zapata model's show. Veronica Zapata is a bolivian designers, if I'm not wrong.
Congratulation.
Exquisite work. I hope to start something like that for my daughter's wedding gown....
